History & Heritage

Classeq SA is a sister company of Winterhalter, world wide market leader in warewashing manufacturer.

Winterhalter SA (Pty) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Winterhalter GmbH and comprises Winterhalter SA and Classeq SA.

Winterhalter SA was established in 2009, to support our customers and distribution chain at a local level. And is the only specialist ware wash manufacturer directly represented within the Sub-Sahara region.

Classeq SA offers competitively priced, UK manufactured machines, locally based and thus ensuring the best possible levels of support. We are found extensively, in a diverse array of establishments, from staff and franchise restaurants to hotels, prisons and hospitals. We also have a complimentary range of chemicals, ancillary and accessory products.

Classeq is part of the Winterhalter group of companies.

Senior Management

David Smithson

CEO – Winterhalter UK

David is the CEO of Winterhalter UK and was responsible for the original acquisition of Classeq Ltd in 2004. As Managing Director for Classeq, David Smithson is responsible for overseeing Classeq Ltd and all sub-brands.

Nick Burridge

Sales Director

Nick is responsible for the sales function of all Classeq products and brands including warewashing, Ice machines and Eau de Vie filtered water sytems. Nick originally joined Winterhalter in September 2000 and moved across at the inception of Classeq in 2004.

Gary Jones

Technical Director

As Technical Director, Gary is responsible for overseeing the Classeq production facility and operations in Stafford.

Nikki Meek

General Manager

Reporting to Gary Jones, Nikki is responsible for overseeing the Classeq team at the production facility in Stafford.

Business Development Team

Edward Johnstone

Business Development Manager – South West

Edward (Ed) is responsible for the South West region covering areas from Cornwall, Bournmouth to South Wales. Ed has been with Classeq since Jan 2007 and is an expert in all Classeq, Winterhalter, Ice-O-Matic and Eau de Vie systems.

Tom Owen

Business Development Manager – South East

Tom is responsible for the South East region covering areas from Southampton to Leicester and Oxford. Tom joined Classeq in December 2015 and is an expert in the full range of Classeq products, from Glass and Dish washers through to Ice-O-Matic Ice machines and Eau de Vie filtered water systems.

Howard Leonard

Business Development Manager – Eau de Vie

Howard is responsible for business development of Eau de Vie – our filtered still and sparkling water systems. Howard joined Classeq in December 2014 and specialises in our filtered water systems and also supports the full range of Classeq machines.

John Heywood

Business Development Manager – North

John is responsible for the North region covering areas from Birmingham, North Wales to Scotland. John has been in the catering industry and worked with Classeq products for over 20 years.

Marketing Team

Adam Lenton

Marketing Manager

Adam is responsible for the Marketing team covering the full portfolio of Classeq products including Classeq warewashing, plus Ice-O-Matic and Eau de Vie brands. Adam is also responsible for overseeing the Eau de Vie administration team based at Milton Keynes. Adam joined Classeq in October 2014.

Lee Henchy

Graphics and Marketing Executive

Lee is responsible for the graphic design and marketing of the complete Classeq portfolio including Classeq warewashing, Ice-O-Matic and Eau de Vie brands. Lee has worked for Winterhalter for over 5 years and joined Classeq in February 2017.
